Cecina is a town of the Etruscan Coast of ancient origins, some findings date the first settlements in this area even to the Neolithic.
The territory – also inhabited in Etruscan times – owes its name to the consul Albino Cecina, of Etruscan origin, who ordered the construction of a villa whose remains can still be visited today in San Vincenzino.
Today Cecina is a lively place, where it is pleasant to stroll through the quiet streets of the center, meeting places for young people and families.
